Do you have an investigative mind examining motor claims for potential fraud or irregularities? Collaborative worker and keen to fast track your career within intelligence? We’re on the hunt for an Intelligence Analyst to join our Counter Fraud Services team in Haywards Heath, West Sussex or Salford Quays, Manchester.As an Intelligence Analyst, you’ll be responsible for completing complex desktop research reports, reviewing and analysing fraudulent claims and policies and managing fraud operations. By protecting the business from fraud risks, you’ll receive, triage and disseminate all sourced intelligence, ensuring full compliance with company financial crime procedures and policies at all times.You'll be a great fit for the role if you have these skills:Analytical: Studying large amounts of data, identify important statistics, and interpret information is keyProblem-Solving: You’ll often tackle intricate problems, requiring critical thinking and creative solutions. Job responsibilities:Receive, triage and disseminate all internally and externally sourced intelligence for use in protecting the business from fraud risks, in line with the department policies and proceduresManagement of a fraud intelligence repository, to include data input, quality, retention and disposal, referring to the Intelligence Manager as necessaryUndertake desktop research on suspect claims and policies and produce comprehensive intelligence and research reportsIdentify and refer suspect claims and polices to relevant teams using fraud databases and analytics toolsProducing witness statements on policy misrepresentation and non-disclosure and giving evidence in courtMeet agreed fraud KPIs and targetsMaintain an up to date knowledge of market counter fraud activities specific to intelligence and related fraud/financial crime legislationEnsure compliance with company financial crime procedures and related policiesSubmit Suspicious Activity Reports as necessary to the Intelligence Manager and Money Laundering Reporting OfficerAnalysis of fraud threats using multiple Excel datasetsMaintain the fraud intelligence relationships with the Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB), Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department (IFED) and Insurance Fraud Investigators Group (IFIG)Adhere to and consider all regulatory requirements at all times, including TCF, DPA and AMLEnsure compliance with TCF principles when liaising with customersBuild and maintain relationships both internally and externallyBe compliant with health and safety policies at all timesEnsure compliance with Company and other relevant standards/regulations at all timesAny other reasonable duties as requiredCarry out duties, activities and tasks as directed within the Claims and Fraud pillarExperience & knowledge:Proven Motor insurance claims and policy experience (Essential)Fraud intelligence handling in the general insurance (motor) environment (Desirable)Undertaking research and writing reportsSome knowledge of fraud intelligence handling practiceAwareness of the IFB intelligence model.Good understanding of relevant fraud related legislation.Good understanding of all aspects of motor insurance.Excellent knowledge of FCA requirements (including TCF) and the regulatory framework relating to general insuranceSkills & Qualifications:Good communication skills, both verbal and writtenNegotiation and influencing skillsGood time management and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise workGood analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to adopt a logical approach to resolving problemsGood numeracy and literacy skillsBasic to Intermediate Excel spreadsheet skillsGood report writing skillsBehaviours:Customer focused (internal customers & external)Self-motivated and enthusiasticEmbrace, embed and incorporate the Company valuesPassionate about reducing the business exposure to fraud riskTakes initiative to make decisionsAn organised and proactive approachEmphasis on attention to detail and accuracyAble to work on own initiative and as part of a teamA flexible approach and positive attitudeConfident in presenting complex information in a clear and concise mannerStrives to deliver performance targets and drive business improvementsWhat can we do for you?
