About the Role
KBR is looking for an experienced Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Engineer to join its expanding Government Solutions EMEA. The role provides ILS engineering input and support to current UK MOD projects, as well as projects and bids for other UK Government Departments. The role may involve UK travel (and some overseas travel) to Customer and Supplier sites. Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for managing ILS and service support projects to ensure ILS requirements and outputs are delivered on time, to budget, and to the required quality.
What We're Looking For
Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our projects in the UK Defence Industry? We are seeking an experienced Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Analyst to join our team. Under the direction of the ILS Manager, you will be responsible for performing detailed analytic studies to ensure that our support systems meet or exceed specified requirements. Your tasks will include recommending design changes, delivering project outputs on time and within budget, developing logistic support plans, providing support to bids and proposals, and managing various aspects of ILS projects.
Responsibilities
Conduct detailed analytic studies to ensure compliance with AR&M and supportability requirements.
Deliver ILS project outputs, including AR&M, Supportability Analysis, Through Life Costing, Technical Publications, Training Development, and Codification, within specified timelines and budget constraints.
Develop and manage Integrated Logistic Support Plans (ILSP) and ILS Element Plans.
Provide support to bids, proposals, and report writing activities.
Plan ILS projects to ensure timely delivery and adherence to budgetary constraints.
Carry out Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) modeling, trend analysis, and support the development of ARM Cases.
Perform Supportability Analysis, including FMECA, RCM, MTA, and LORA, to aid in the development of support solutions and Supportability Cases.
Conduct spares modeling to establish and optimize spares inventory.
Manage the production of technical support publications and oversee the development and delivery of training solutions.
Provide reports on productivity and performance indicators to the Project/ILS Manager.
Conduct peer reviews of technical reports and outputs.
Manage sub-contractor work packages and outputs.
Lead and contribute to engineering reviews, both internally and with customers.
Develop innovation initiatives to support continuous improvement and future growth.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Essential:
Technical qualification (Degree or HND) in an engineering discipline.
Formal training in the management of ILS for UK Defence Programmes.
Formal training in AR&M Analysis and Supportability Analysis and/or Whole Life Cost/Life Cycle Cost Analysis.
In-depth knowledge of ILS defense standards, particularly Def Stan 00-600, DLF, and Def Stan 00-40 series.
Good working knowledge of ASD standards S1000 and 3000 series.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and negotiate.
Working knowledge of design engineering methods and processes (systems engineering).
Working knowledge of Human Factors Integration engineering process and analysis techniques.
Previous experience successfully delivering ILS/ARM programs in the UK Defence Industry.
Desirable:
Training Needs Analysis practitioner, and/or Course Design and delivery.
Technical Author experience.
Experience as a design or diagnostics engineer.
The role is hybrid with 2/3 days per week on-site in Swindon.
