This is a new post that has been created to deal with the increased demand on acute services, and to provide an alternative to A&E presentations. This post is currently vacanct and we are keen to recruit to this position.You will will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work.Why Acute and Rehabilitation Directorate (ARD)?ARD is proud of being front runners in its delivery of safe services in the least restrictive way, with well-developed Home Treatment Teams and Crises Services and a small, high quality bed base.Job responsibilitiesYou will be expected to:Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to adult people with mental health needs, across Barking and Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge, and Waltham Forest.Provide senior medical support and guidance to the teamWork directly with adults and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external mental health providers and acute hospitalsParticipate in the on-call rota frequency is currently 1:50, with a 3% of basic salary, Category A on-call supplement.Support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member whilst allowing them to work with their own initiativeCommit to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies.Person SpecificationGMCFull GMC registration with a licence to practiceCCTCCT or equivalentSection 12Section 12 Approval or eligibility for itKnowledgeApproved Clinician status, or eligibility for itExperienceInclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCSTDisclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.NELFT North East London Foundation Trust£93,666 to £126,281 a yearper annum, pro rota
