Salary up to £36,000 + Bonus
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Underwriter to further their career. The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting a wide variety of professional, management, cyber and technology renewals.
Duties of Insurance Underwriter:
* Underwriting risks in accordance within own personal level of underwriting authority
* Collaborate with the Claims team on complex cases to ensure the best outcomes for policyholders
* Provide an excellent service to brokers, prioritising renewals and mid-term adjustments and referrals from the broker e-trading platform or by email/phone to ensure deadlines are met
* Ensure incoming calls to the team are answered promptly and professionally
* Attend underwriting and broker meetings as required throughout the year to provide insight into developments, trends and feedback on market conditions
* Manage renewal cases working as appropriate with the broker to secure renewal and upsell/ cross-sell additional covers
* Build and maintain excellent working relationships with the technical teams in Leeds and the wider business
* Assisting the team and wider business with ad hoc projects when required
Essential:
* Must have previous experience within Professional Indemnity, Financial Lines or commercial combined experience.
* Strong communication skills and past experience with dealing with clients by email and telephone
* Have previous experience with proactively managing own workflow
