Salary up to £35,000 + 5% Bonus

12 Month FTC
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Underwriter to further their career. The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting a variety of Professional and Management Risks and Charity policies.
Duties of Insurance Underwriter:
Underwriting risks in accordance within own personal level of underwriting authority
Provide excellent service to brokers, prioritising renewals and mid-term adjustments and referrals whether emanating from the broker e-trading platform, Acturis or by email/phone to ensure deadlines are met
Ensure incoming calls to the team are answered promptly and professionally
Attend underwriting meetings as required throughout the year to provide insight into developments, trends and feedback on market conditions
Manage renewal cases working as appropriate with the broker to secure renewal and upsell/ cross-sell additional covers
Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with the Technical teams in Leeds and the wider business
Assisting the team and wider business with ad hoc projects
Essential:
* Must have proven relevant insurance experience and demonstrable technical skills
* Strong communication skills and past experience with dealing with clients by email and telephone
* Have previous experience with proactively managing own workflow
