Join our Team as an Insurance ManagerAdvert Close date: Friday 26th Aril 2024We are looking for an Insurance Manager to be our internal expert and channel for all matters pertaining to insurance within The Crown Estate (TCE).Main Accountabilities:· Responsible for the effective and efficient running of our insurance operation within TCE· Ensure TCE discharge their disclosure obligations to our insurers· Focus of insurance expertise across all portfolios and link into the insurance market via our appointed broker, insurers and loss adjusters· Responsible for premium payment to insurers and governance of insurance placement across TCE· Oversight of renewal process including adherence to timeline, production of Reinstatement Cost Assessments, Data from portfolio owners and Managing Agents· Ensure claims are dealt with in a fair and efficient way· Monitor claims experience to ensure we manage premium outcomes and internal and customer expectations· Work with Development and Asset teams to ensure appropriate cover is in place in respect all employer works· Work with Marine portfolio to ensure that our insurance requirements of our tenants and customers work to protect TCE, our customers and our environment· Retender our insurance broker as required by procurement policy and monitor and ensure performance through the contract· Work with Windsor and Managing Agents to obtain Reinstatement Cost Assessment running tenders as necessaryKnowledge, experience and skills: · In depth and up to date understanding of insurance market including regulated environment · Good awareness of insurance products available · Expert knowledge in property and liability insurance · Knowledge of Real Estate market and insurance processes · Understanding of lease wordings and implication for insurance obligations · Experience of working in an insurance company, broker and/or loss adjuster including underwriting, claims and procurement of insurance · Good understanding of claims processes including legal requirements · Understanding of Construction insurance and process · Ability to think creatively and problem solve · A team player and ability to collaborate with others to achieve the goal· Ideally CII and/or CILA qualificationsOur recruitment processWe are committed to inclusion and diversity, proudly supporting the Disability Confident employer scheme.
