Title – insurance Business Analyst (InsurTech) Flexibility – Hybrid (1x week in office)*Please note sponsorship is not offered for this role.*About the company They are an Insurtech firm building SaaS solutions for insurance and reinsurance clients across Commercial Insurance, Reinsurance and Brokers, using data to provide clarity of risk so clients can improve their assessment of future events.They are currently undergoing a data migration to Azure as well as experimenting with other technology improvements such as building greenfield data and AI features, to increase their product offering.Role Summary As a Business Analyst, you will be working with a cross-functional Product Management team mapping out and improving insurance processes as well as providing support across their full suite of products.Define business analysis requirements and configuration specifications for new and existing features.Write up functional requirements accurately and concisely ensuring clarity and unambiguity.Proactively assess needs and form an opinion based in research and prototyping to present intelligent, imaginative solutions to complex issues.Analyse, research, and present using various sources and techniques, solutions to complex commercial insurance software functions.Own and develop relationships with internal and external partners, working with them to optimise and enhance features, functions, and integration to third-party services.Assist in the preparation of the implementation study documents and subsequent written output required.Report on common sources of business and technical issues or questions and make recommendations to the product team.Liaise effectively with the offshore teams especially ensuring a clarity of functional understanding in the transition to design and build.Communicate key insights, market developments and findings to the product team.Required Experience Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with immediate team members, colleagues in across the business and new and existing customers.3+ years’ experience as a Business Analysis within Commercial Insurance preferably working on General, P&C, Marine or Non-life insurance products in the Lloyd’s of London Market.Strong experience in areas such as underwriting risk analysis, risk triage, pricing, issuance, operation team management and the full end-to-end insurance lifecycle.Experience in requirement elicitation and profiling different user persona’s needs.Experience in analysing data to draw business-relevant conclusions which are presented as business process diagrams, entity life histories and user journeys.Solid experience in writing requirement specifications based on Agile methodologies that employ the Epic, Feature, User Story approach.Proven experience and knowledge in modelling insurance processes and practices into software features and functions.Strong written and verbal communication skills including business and technical writing skills.Apply to the RoleRoles like these are snapped up very quickly, so act now if you do not want to miss out!
