The Role
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join their dedicated team, supporting the delivery of their insurance services. This is an excellent opportunity to progress your career within the Insurance field.
Key Responsibilities
With a professional and customer focused approach, you will handle and defend insurance claims made against the council.
The role is full of variety, and you will have the opportunity to work on a mixed portfolio of claims.
You will process and monitor internal and external claims so that deadlines are met, and any resulting queries / rejections are resolved in a timely manner.
You will engage with claimants and their solicitors, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with difficult or sensitive claims.
You will help them ensure that their robust systems and data is well maintained, so that their claims handling is effectively supported.
Skills and Qualifications
Experience of Insurance claim handling
An understanding of the principles of insurance and risk.
A high standard of literacy and numeracy.
Experience of extracting, collating, analysing, and presenting data.
Experience of working to deadlines and having to prioritise work.
Experience and competence in using IT and common business support packages including Word processing and Excel spreadsheets.
Insurance qualification would be desirable but not essential.
