Machine Shop Inspector
Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

Our prestigious client is looking for a Machine Shop Inspector to join their team!
You’ll be responsible for assembling and testing components whilst maintaining a high standard of quality. The ideal candidate will have previous Fitting experience in an Aerospace or Automotive environment and have completed an NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship.
Please note: Shift work will be required on a 4-shift, 4-week rotation with premium payment.
Key Responsibilities of a Machine Shop Inspector
* Inspect and deliver quality products to both internal and external customers.
* Evaluate output data from CMM machines.
* Undertake inspection activities for parts, which will include: First Off, CMM Inspection, and Final View Inspection of internal parts.
* Inspect and deliver quality products to both internal and external customers, with a full understanding of AS9102 FAI requirements.
* Understand quality issues and the determine suitable outcomes via reasonable analysis.
* Work to ASMEY14.5 2009 and ISO(Apply online only) standards.
Key Skills of a Machine Shop Inspector
* Previous experience of operating in a manufacturing environment.
* Modern Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3 Qualification or equivalent.
* Ability to implement and follow inspection processes.
* Understanding of quality issues and the ability determine suitable outcomes.
* CMM Inspection experience
* Ability to understand and evaluate output data from CMM machines.
* Full understanding of AS9102 FAI, ASMEY14.5 2009, and ISO(Apply online only) standards is beneficial
