Job DescriptionInsight Analyst x2 days per week in Bournemouth office (x3 WFH) An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Capacity, Planning and Performance team. You’ll be working in our Channel Planning function to design, build, develop and enhance capacity models to support the Branch Network.In this challenging and rewarding role you will influence decisions that have real impact on the future direction of the Retail Network. Your ability to quickly see trends and issues from data will enable you to deliver key insights that tell a story, ultimately guiding our planning and decision making.At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. You can also find out more about our approach to hybrid working here.If we receive a high volume of relevant applications, we may close the advert earlier than the advertised date, so please apply as soon as you can.What you’ll be doingThe exciting nature of this role means that you will be involved in short, medium, and long term insight; providing planning support for day-to-day, for upcoming projects and for future strategies.For example, you are likely to be involved in;Completing and presenting analysis used directly by senior managementTelling the story of the analysis and bringing it to life for the wider business pictureMaking recommendations for future business strategyMatching resource to demand and making sure we have the right people in place to deliver on our promises to our membersInfluencing the shape of our branch networkAbout youWe are looking for someone with demonstrable analytical rigour, balanced with strong problem solving and inter-personal skills, who can work collaboratively within a team of Insight professionals and influence the business. You will:Be analytical with a logical and curious mindset. Have excellent attention to detail, and possess the confidence to ‘tell the story’ describing the work you have undertaken to key stakeholders.Have the ability to work at pace and react to changing work requests and priorities in a timely manner.Be experienced in completing analysis, along with having a proven ability to derive insight from various complex sources.Be a confident and advanced user of Microsoft Excel (e.g. vlookups, pivot tables and complex formulae), and of Microsoft PowerPoint (to pull packs together and present information).Ideally technically robust and comfortable with analysing large volumes of data using tools such as SPSS Modeller, SAS, SQL or Power BI.Possess good communication and influencing skills, with the ability to present findings in a clear, concise and compelling way to stakeholders.A relevant degree (such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Finance, Economics or other Science Discipline) or equivalent relevant experience.It would be good if you also had:Knowledge of the financial services industry.Our Customer First behaviours are all about putting customers and members at the heart of how we work together.
