Job DescriptionWorking for a global consumer FMCG business, this role will see you reporting to the head of Innovation and managing the innovation and new product development of one of their leading personal care products at a global level.Key Responsibilities:With the Innovation manager lead on global + Local innovation, long-term planning, delivery of innovation for the personal care, health care and beauty brands portfolioIdentify, assess and champion new product growth opportunities, including: supporting the Head of Innovation on the development a compelling innovation strategy and pipeline,Work closely with marketing to create the innovation strategy that will address the key commercial opportunities for the brands, and maintain the innovation funnel for the next 3+ yearPlan and oversee any research required to deepen our understanding of consumer needs and motivations o Identify powerful and usable consumer insights and opportunity areas for to explore for innovation opportunitiesWorking closely with Marketing and R&D to create winning new product conceptsPlan and execute any development research required (e.g. qualitative research) and validation research (e.g. quantitative testing) using the appropriate techniques and agencies.CommercialisationLead the development of the business cases by working closely with Marketing, Sales and Procurement to gain Exec approval to invest in the development of the new productsPrepare and present project progress at Gate Meetings to gain approval to continue development and eventually to launch.About you:Proven track record in delivering strategic NPD that demonstrate measurable successExtensive exposure to, and very strong understanding of, the technical aspects of developing and manufacturing consumer personal care productsMastery in the identification and usage of consumer insights to create winning NPDResearch expert. Knows the best research techniques to gain the understanding needed. Strong experience in briefing, preparing and managing research (qual & quant) conducted buy our partner agencies
