Our goal is to accelerate the development and commercialisation of ground-breaking innovations that address the world's energy challenges.As Prosemino expands its reach with a new lab in Canada Water (opening expected May 2024), we are seeking an Innovation Lab Manager to play a central role in supporting our mission.This individual will not only manage day-to-day lab operations but also actively participate in the development and commercialisation of cutting-edge electrochemical technologies alongside our portfolio startups. Responsibilities:Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab equipment including but not limited to Argon gloveboxes, Raman spectrometers, X-ray diffraction (XRD), and battery cyclers.Provide expertise in experimental design, risk assessments and hands-on lab work, supporting the startups from pre-seed stage to their seed fundraise.Lead procurement of consumables and equipment.Develop, implement, and oversee lab safety protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with building and regulatory standards.Develop training materials for the usage of laboratory equipment, working alongside the broader innovation team and the startups within the programme.Collaborate with Prosemino's leadership and startup teams to align lab activities with broader company goals and initiatives.Participate in team meetings and workshops, actively sharing ideas and insights to enhance the overall success of Prosemino and its ventures.Stay up to date with the latest advancements in electrochemical technology, startups, and related industries.Requirements:PhD in Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry, Materials Science, or related field, with a specialisation in batteries preferred. Candidates nearing PhD completion may also be considered.Experience in a relevant green technology startup is advantageous but not essential.Demonstrated experience in the use and maintenance of lab equipment specific to electrochemistry and materials science including, but not limited to, Argon gloveboxes, Raman spectroscopy, XRD, and battery manufacturing and testing equipment.
