June 2023As part of DCC’s procurement transformation, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual who possesses a strong passion for achieving excellence and driving continuous improvement in supplier relationship management (SRM). As the Supplier Innovation and Excellence Manager, you will play a central role in driving initiatives and delivering strategic projects to optimize our SRM capabilities. You will be responsible for leading virtual teams, providing critical insights to our senior leadership team, and ensuring that best practices and knowledge management are embedded consistently across our supplier ecosystem.What will you be doing?· Drive the development and implementation of knowledge management and best practices for circa 15 suppliers, with annual contract value £30-50m each· Provide critical input into regulatory-required reporting, as well as ensuring that combined reporting from the SRM team is delivered effectively to both senior internal (Exco, SLT) and senior supplier stakeholders· Responsible for consistent implementation of supplier governance, effective communication, documentation of meeting agendas and minutes, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability· Own the content creation for Executive level supplier engagement, ensuring that best practices are consistently implemented across all suppliers· Responsible for the continuous improvement of the SRM reporting tool, with a specific focus on the Supplier profile, Balanced Scorecard, Stakeholder mapping, Voice of the Supplier, and Voice of the Customer survey· Take ownership for and organise major strategic events between DCC and suppliers, such as the Annual Supplier ConferenceWhat are we looking for?Technical· Proven experience in Strategic supplier management and a strong understanding of best practices, including category/supplier spend analysis, commercial contracts, and vendor performance/quality management· A strong desire to develop the commercial/supply chain areas, with the ability to work with digital tools and systems that support SRM· Strong attention to detail and proven ability to work in an open / auditable way fitting to a regulated environment· A strong project management ability and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and targets, and summarise information and create executive presentations· Excellence in using Microsoft Office: Teams, PPT, Word, and ExcelInterpersonal· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both junior and senior stakeholders· A strong ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders in a complex environment· We expect our employees to bring to life our three core values: make a difference, act with integrity and be accountableAbout the DCC:At the DCC, we believe in making Britain more connected, so we can all lead smarter, greener lives.
