£65,000 - £75,000 DOE
Role Overview:
The Infrastructure Manager is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure, including a mix of on-premises and cloud-based technologies. This role requires a strong background in Microsoft Azure, networking, and virtualisation, as well as excellent leadership skills. You will be managing a team of IT professionals and collaborating with other departments to ensure that our infrastructure is reliable, secure, and scalable.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure, focusing on Azure cloud services and on-premises environments with VMware and Hyper-V.
Manage network infrastructure, including Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Oversee server management, including Windows Server and Linux systems, ensuring regular maintenance, updates, and security patches.
Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure high availability and data integrity.
Collaborate with IT security teams to enforce best practices and compliance standards.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT professionals, promoting teamwork and innovation.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance system performance and reliability.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues, minimising downtime and ensuring seamless operations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies.
Proven expertise in Azure cloud services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Networking.
Experience with virtualisation technologies, such as VMware and Hyper-V.
Strong understanding of networking concepts and equipment, including Cisco routers and switches.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a track record of managing IT teams.
Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or Cisco CCNA/CCNP, are desirable.
