This role sits within the Infrastructure side of our IT Team and the role holder should strengthen current IT practices and maintain a culture of sharing and collaboration. An understanding of emerging technologies and approaches will be essential to enhance the department and deliver value. Providing desktop and infrastructure support, keeping up to date with evolving technologies and best practices, and be inquisitive and enthusiastic to resolve complex issues. The role offers the opportunity to work within an excellent IT team, building on your skillset and experience influencing change and improvements.The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible and provide technical solutions and guidance for all elements of IT networking and server environment within Sepura. The role holder will work closely with members of the Infrastructure Team and supporting 3rd line support request via our Desktop Team members to implement improvements to meet both the project deliverables, user requirements and stakeholders requests across the business.Your Day to Day:Within the IT department, you will support the delivery of an excellent IT service by way of maintaining a resilient and secure environment. You will contribute to the resolution of technical incidents raised via our IT Service Desk or through project enhancements and deliverables, engaging with users across the business to balance the need to maintain business practices, whilst maintain a secure network environment.There is no such thing as a typical day here at Sepura. You will be supported by your manager and team, as well as collaborating with other departments across the business. Daily activities and tasks that you will be responsible for include:Provide business-as-usual / break-fix support for solutions deployed within SepuraEnsure that requests logged via the Service Desk platform are completed based on impact and priority.Manage and monitor installed infrastructure services to maintain availability of systems.Proactively analyse existing infrastructure services, contribute and deliver on our IT enhancement backlog.Research products & service and make recommendations.Contribute to root cause analysis activities.Be engaging and communicate the status, plan of action(s), and resolution(s) of issues/projects.Troubleshoot and resolve any IT service issues related to the Windows infrastructure, WIFI, LAN.Work with the Infrastructure and Desktop teams to implement security enhancements.Support the management of key software tools such as Splunk, SolarWinds, Anti-virus, Zscaler, and Darktrace for network monitoring and respond appropriately.Report on the health of IT servicesStay current with the latest technology trends and advise the management on necessary solutions to improve the status quo of the networking infrastructure.

Qualifications Degree level qualification\Higher National Diploma (IT related subject).Senior level experience demonstrated through certification(s) Experience and Skills Strong technical problem-solving skills and experienceSignificant experience in technical administration roles covering Hardware and SoftwareWindows server administration (DHCP, DNS, Active Directory)Network design and implementation (LAN & WAN)Administration of Cisco switch infrastructureWireless infrastructure (preferably Aruba)Virtualisation (preferably VMWare)Supporting NetApp storage (NAS / SAN)Backup solutions (Veeam)Microsoft Exchange or Exchange Online administrationExperience of deploying and managing Office 365 & Mobile device management.
