4most is a global financial analytics consultancy employing 300 people spread across the UK, Ireland and India. It operates a cloud-first strategy based primarily around Microsoft 365 and Azure. Its clients are primarily well-known financial institutions and hence maintaining a good security posture is critical.4most is looking for a skilled engineer, with a strong technical background, to work within its IT team and alongside Information Security to help plan, develop and maintain its Azure infrastructure and provide integration and support with Office 365. In addition, they will be required to work on, and possibly lead IT projects that emerge from business needs and IT requirements considered outside the scope of IT support. Duties and Responsibilities Understand, develop, and maintain the Azure infrastructure and components. This will include networks, VPNs, Virtual Machines (both Linux and Windows), databases, app services, storage containers, data factories etc. Expected to apply Microsoft best practices and willing to work in a structured and organised fashion and documenting work. Help support some of the more technical sides of our enterprise applications. Work may include integrating Single Sign On, mail integration, basic API integrations, service desk, operational management and change control software configurations. Work alongside the existing IT team to help deliver IT projects that sit outside of support BAU. Typically, these will involve looking at new services or new functionality required from the business that need IT solutions, and will likely be based around Azure technologies and O365 automation. Examples may include automation (Power Automate/Logic Apps), use of AI search services for internal use, simple web-apps, database related technologies.
Ensure that infrastructure and solutions are developed in a secure fashion in conjunction with our information security team. Update and adjust current Azure infrastructure as Microsoft add and retire features. The role would report to the Director of Information Systems and work closely with the Information Security Lead. RequiredGood knowledge of Azure networking and building secure solutions, including Entra ID and its integration with other elements of Azure, Enterprise Apps and Office 365.Ability to assist and support with Office 365 administration - mainly back-end configuration work, such as Exchange, Teams configurations.Knowledge of PowerShell to help automate, configure and report on O365 components and Azure.Use of Git to manage version control of scripts and configurations.Experience of working with information security teams and supporting them and their requirements, preferably adhering to ISO27001 or similar standards.Able to engage with business stakeholders to understand and document their requirements, architect pragmatic solutions, and where necessary offer appropriate challenge-back and alternatives.Confident and able to provide clear instructions and create good documentation.Ability to take the lead on internal IT projects and manage a project, including development, testing and deployment.DesirableLinux administration, including building and hardening Linux (RHEL) virtual servers, patching and the use of Azure VM Backup.Basic Python knowledge and its use for scripting. Please note candidate must have the right to work in the UK.Salary dependant on experience plus: 25 days' holiday (freedom holiday scheme).
