Job DescriptionPurpose of job:Our aim is to become a market leader in the provision of Electric Vehicle charging solutions to Local Authorities and Businesses as part of our strategy to lead the transition to zero carbon.The goal is to undertake an ambitious electric vehicle charging installation program, deploying high volume and quality EV installations across the UK. Our aim is to make the world a better place, one charge point at a time.The IT Project Manager will work within Zest’s IT team with internal software development and test team, complimented by select external resources where appropriate. The IT Project manager will run the agile scrum process, in conjunction with the Business Analysts and Lead Developers, as a servant leader. Reporting directly into the CTO this is a rare opportunity to shape green field IT projects from inception to completion, in a relatively nascent market, without the burden of technical debt and carefully controlled commercial delivery pressures. Our development program is focused on creating value based on an exceptional customer experience from day one.The role works closely with the stakeholders within the business including the Sales, Marketing, Business Operations and key members of the leadership team, as well as third party pre-approved contractors to make our software roadmap a reality.Key AccountabilitiesThe role is responsible for the following:· Using agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions.· Working with the Business Analysts to determine and manage tasks, daily stand-ups, issues, risks, and action items.· Scheduling and facilitating scrum events, meetings, and decision-making processes.· Monitoring progress and performance and helping teams to make improvements.· Planning and organising demos and product/system testing in conjunction with the quality assurance team· Ensuring the proper use of collaborative processes and removing impediments for the scrum team· Tracking project processes, deliverables, and financials.· Preparing and presenting status reports to stakeholders· Timely and accurate reporting of project progress· Tracking of project costs, working in conjunction with Finance team· Management of risk and issues registers· Presentation of project status at overarching customer Project Board meetings· Coordinating key internal and external partners, including third-party contractors, to deliver quality, on time and at the agreed cost· Working with other key parties to ensure Zest is continuously working to improve how we do business· Plus, any other duties as required by the leadership teamOutcome, Results and Key performance indicators:· Achievement of deployment and installation targets· Achievement of downtime targets· Achievement of resource allocation and budgetary targetsKey Relationships:Internal – IT team members, Operations, Sales, Finance & Leadership TeamExternal – 3rd party contractors, suppliers, service providersKnowledge and Skills:· 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, IT Project Manager or in a similar role.· Working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban, to deliver solutions.· Management experience· Excellent people and project management skills· Strong communication and presentation skills· Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsBehaviours:· Tenacious and resourceful· Practical problem solver· Excellent communicator at all levels· Ability to influence and engage others· Collaborative workerQualifications:· Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field preferred.· Certified scrum master, SAFe preferred but not essentialZest is an equal opportunity employer, committed to the values and ultimately societal benefits of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
