Job DescriptionWe are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Greater Manchester, who are recruiting for an Information Governance Officer to join the team, on a temporary six-month contract.The position is due to start immediately, and offering an hourly rate of up to £24 via an Umbrella company.The ideal candidate will experience of working with data protection functions, and IAPP or relevant qualifications are desirable.Duties will include (but are not limited to):Logging and responding to information requests, acting as the first point of contact for dealing with Information Rights requests and advising stakeholders on any related Information Governance issuesInvestigating information security incidents, including evidence gathering, recording actions for improvement and providing recommendations to the DPO on incidents that may need reportingMaintaining effective record keeping and undertaking appropriate analysis to produce departmental statisticsDeveloping and providing training to colleagues on Information Governance, to ensure continuous improvementReviewing and monitoring Information Sharing Agreements, and advising the business on compliance with the agreementsAdvising stakeholders on Information Governance matters including the application of the corporate records retention and disposal scheduleSupporting with budget and administration including requesting quotes and monitoring Service Level Agreements with off-site storage providersAssisting on change projects and programmes involving Information Governance risks and opportunities to reduce Information Security incidentsRewards and Benefits:3-days home working per weekWorking hours:35 hours per weekMonday – FridayPlease note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible.
