Job Description The Information Governance Compliance Officer will be part of a leading IG team. They will report into the Head of Information Governance and will:Monitor compliance with information governance and data protection principles.Identify and address potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk.Develop and implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues.Provide reports on a regular basis to keep senior management informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts.Collaborate with other departments to direct compliance issues for investigation and resolution.Respond to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures.Maintain documentation of compliance activities.Review and update the company's information governance and data protection policies. The Successful Applicant A successful Information Governance Compliance Officer should have:A degree in Law, IT, Data Protection, or a related field.Demonstrable experience in information governance, data privacy and compliance roles.Strong understanding of data protection laws and regulations.Available to start immediately.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficient in using MS Office Suite.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
