537GREIndustrial & Employee Relations Manager – HPC TauntonThis business is a substantial tier 1 contractor and are undertaking a substantial scope of works at HPC in Taunton. They currently have an exciting opportunity for an Industrial Relations Manager to join the teamThe purpose of this role is to manage employee relations across the site, and to work proactively to minimise any potential industrial disputes and maintain a positive culture across the projectResponsibilities
Provide leadership, performance management and guidance to the ER and IR Team members.Maintain strong engagement / relationships with the Unions on a formal and informal basis.Work with the Unions to evolve relationships and facilitate organisational change & improvements.Managing relationships with unions & ensuring that the organisations treatment of employees is consistent with its core business values and objectives.Handling complaints, managing grievance procedures, and facilitating counselling in conjunction with other stakeholders.Investigating and resolving complex or critical industrial relations issues in a timely and effective manner.Collating and analysing employee feedback across all levels on a regular basis and revising people programs and policies to generate more positive outcomes.Participating in and/or leading projects focused on continuous improvement.
Experience and knowledge required
Degree in Human Resources or related fields.Prior experience in employee relations or industrial relations.Strong experience in dealing with unions.You possess strong knowledge of HR policies & procedures.You have in-depth knowledge of employment legislation.Good knowledge of working rule agreements such as NAECIYou have strong problem-solving, negotiation & influencing skills.Prior experience of working in the nuclear sector or a highly regulated environment
