This is an exciting opportunity where you will focus on solving everyday consumer problems with disruptive design solutions. Working across multiple product categories you will develop highly inventive, insight-led designs that truly resonate with users.What you will be doing:Solving everyday problems with bold, inventive ideasIdentifying opportunities and problems that will lead to high ROI product designsManaging multiple projects from research through to commercially viable concept designsChallenging the ordinary to create new disruptive designsBuilding low fidelity test rigs and prototypesCreating 3D prints of your solutions to test and critiqueCollaborating with other designers and design managers in the teamClearly presenting ideas to the senior teamLiaising with design managers and preparing clear and concise handover presentationsDelivering concepts in-line with the critical pathWhat we need from you:An undergraduate (or masters) degree in Industrial Design or Product DesignFour years or more industry experienceStrong industrial design skills with a proven track record of successA portfolio showing an inventive nature turning ideas into commercially viable productsAn ability to effectively manage time whilst working to tight critical paths on multiple projectsA natural flair to clearly communicate ideas to senior teamsA good understanding of manufacturing techniques and processesExcellent knowledge of design applications such as, Adobe CS, Solidworks and KeyShotA creative thought process with a self-motivated drive to create ‘big ideas’An adaptable, reliable character with the ability to easily engage with othersThe ability to challenge conventional thinking, whilst keeping ideas commercialWhat you will get from us:Competitive salary and holiday allowanceCompany performance related bonusPension contributionHoliday trading (buy/sell)Holiday carry over schemeExtra holiday days for long service.Monthly team recognitionFlexible working scheme: Hybrid - 3 days in the office and 2 days’ work from homeFlexible Start & Finish timesExternal private employee wellbeing support with Health Assured
