St Christopher’s Hospice was founded in 1967 by Dame Cicely Saunders, and became the first hospice of the modern hospice movement. We provide invaluable care and support to over 7,500 people across the five London Boroughs of Bromley, Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark.The fundraising team generates more than £10m every year, around half of which comes through gifts left to the charity as legacies. We organise a programme of appeals, campaigns and events, administer our own lottery, make applications to charitable foundations, engage with local business and support individuals who give in-memory of a loved one. This is delivered by a strong employed fundraising team, supported by a number of wonderful volunteers.Your new role Do you get excited about creating the perfect direct mail piece? Are you passionate about lotteries? Can you take ‘in memory’ givers on a journey from one-off gift to regular supporters?If so, we have the perfect role for you!We are seeking an experience Individual Giving Manager to build on our existing appeals and create new, exciting ones too. You will be responsible for generating over £2m income from direct mail, regular giving, in memory giving and the lottery. You will be managing campaigns across a range of traditional and digital channels, from planning and copywriting to post campaign analysis and evaluation. In collaboration with the Head of Fundraising you will develop and flex an audience-centric and insight driven plan designed to attract, retain and develop supporters.The role manages two direct line reports; a Lottery Fundraiser and an In-Memory Fundraiser. You will ensure that all Individual Giving campaigns deliver to budget and against key short-term and long-term KPIs. You will ensure all fundraising is managed effectively, within the regulatory and contractual requirements and implementing best practice.Key responsibilities of the role include:• Managing a programme of supporter direct mail appeals• Significantly growing regular giving• Developing In Memory giving income, tribute funds and funeral donations• Managing and developing our lottery income• Developing engaging supporter journeys for key audiences to encourage repeat givingAbout you:We are looking for someone who isan experienced individual giving fundraiser, solutions focussed and a great team player. You’ll be a self-starter, enthusiastic and driven with strong team working ethic who is willing to take the initiative and pro-actively engage with our supporters.
