Indirect Tax Manager - Retail - Immediate Start - Corporate tax, advisory and indirect tax experience are a must
My client is a leading media company who are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to assist the team with multiple tax responsibilities for the company. This is an initial 6 month contract.
Role & Responsibilities:Preparation of corporate tax computations and returnsPreparation of tax entries for full year Group consolidated accounts, and UK statutory accountsAssist with the review of procedures and controls across all relevant UK taxesOversee VAT processes and ensure returns prepared by local finance teams are timely and accurateMonitor transactional VAT compliance and effect change where requiredSAO review and reporting and implement identified improvementsAssist with research and implementation of tax planning projects such as property tax issues, due diligence on transactions, capital allowancesProvide support to the business to advise on tax issues effecting new contracts and trading opportunities and suggest potential solutions or alternativesSupport with HMRC About You:Qualified ACA/ACCA or CIOTStrong understanding of UK tax legislation, deferred tax along with a good understanding of IFRS, FRS 101/102 and UK GAAPA flexible approach able to work effectively across borders and culturesArticulate and credible when dealing with both internal and external stakeholdersA team player who values the importance of structure and process with a practical mind-setHands on and visible within the business
