Our client, a leading manufacturing organisation, is seeking a skilled and experienced Indirect Buyer to join their team. As Indirect Buyer, you will be responsible for managing all indirect purchases for multiple production sites.

Job Purpose:

In this role, you will play a crucial part in understanding our client's business requirements and identifying suitable sources of supply for these requirements. You will issue requests for tender, analyse responses, and negotiate prices and terms to ensure the business requirements are satisfied in a timely manner, while keeping the total cost to a minimum. Additionally, you will produce summary reports on consumption and spend for specific commodity groups.

Responsibilities:

• Identify suitable sources of supply for indirect purchasing requirements across multi-site manufacturing facilities
• Issue requests for tender, analyse responses, and negotiate prices and terms
• Ensure business requirements are satisfied in a timely manner at minimum total cost
• Produce summary reports on consumption and spend for certain commodity groups

Requirements:

• Good awareness of indirect purchasing requirements across multi-site manufacturing facilities
• Understanding of the commercial negotiation process
• Knowledge of the commercial factors that determine pricing
• Familiarity with commercial tendering processes
• Ability to include SLAs within agreements and identify appropriate measures

Our client offers a competitive salary ranging from �40,000 to �45,000 per year, along with a range of perks including hybrid working.
