Description:
Five Education is working with an educational organization to recruit an inclusion worker. The role will involve supporting children in SEN settings who are outside of mainstream education on a one-to-one basis or in small group settings. The purpose of the organization is to maintain students' education through their health conditions to reduce its impact on their academic progress while they are away from the classroom.
The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of working with children and young people who have complex needs. You will need to be highly engaging, compassionate and be able to establish an excellent rapport with pupils.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and provide support to staff and parents in fostering a good learning environment for children
- Plan, deliver and assess effectiveness of educational sessions
- Be creative and adapt approaches in learning to meet individual students' needs
- Work with other professionals in education provision to ensure health and social care is provided to students and their families
Essential Criteria:
- Have a full driver's license and be prepared to drive on a regular basis
- Have an interest in supporting children/young people
- Right to work in the UK
- Relevant references and DBS/police checks if necessary
Able to work 5 days a week (term time only) 8:30 am - 3:30pm
