At Babcock we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as an Incident Responder at our Capenhurst site.The roleAs an Incident Responder, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be required to respond safely and appropriately to Medical, Fire or Safety Incidents. Day to day, you’ll respond to a variety of incidents covering medical, security and fire, conduct visitor searches, be responsible for checking passes, patrol the site and take emergency calls. Carry out duties aligned to the site security and safety on a business as usual (BAU) and Incident Response
basis, responding to security, fire and safety incidents when required to do soControl access to and from site including search pedestriansAssessment of risks to the site through the use of CCTV, monitor alarm systems.Receive and process emergency calls, respond to service level agreement (SLA) for emergency calls and support emergency response and deploy resourcesAs part of the patrol force carry out internal and external checks at of the entire site, identify and report any damageThis position involves working at height. Candidates must be able to work safely and perform tasks at varying heights.This role is full time, 42 hours per week and is based on site at Capenhurst – flexible for day and night shifts.Essential experience of the Incident Responder:Previous experience in one of the following sectors: Military, Police Force, Fire Service, SecurityGood standard of health & fitnessFlexibility to adapt to normal and emergency shift working patternsConflict Management ExperienceGood report writing skillsQualifications for the Incident Responder:Standard UK driving licenceSecurity ClearanceThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
