Job DescriptionIn Vivo Scientist £22,000 - £27000We are proud to be working with our client, a global CRO who proudly holds over 15 years of experience in the Life Science industry. Our client participates in the drug discovery of some of today’s most pressing challenges in oncology studies and is looking for an In vivoScientist to join their in vivo team. You will perform procedures for clients and internal research.Please bear in mind, that you must be a Personal License holder in order to be considered for this vacancy.Role Description:To be competent in a range of basic techniques including dosing, sampling and anaesthesiaAble to detect signs of ill health/lossGreat understanding of Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 (ASPA) Knowledge of methods of humane killing listed in ASPA Schedule 1 Understand the main provisions of project licencesTo be responsible for appropriate recordsMay support training on experimental procedures Hold responsibility for the generation of data production and reports to respective Study DirectorsProvide training in general unit sanitation, husbandry and cage washing To understand potential problems associated with the experiments Proactive upkeep of personal training recordsRequirements Must have a Home Office License Competent in animal handling and husbandryCompetent in basic procedural skills including dosing techniques, tissue Sample collection and blood sampling Accurate record-keeping for legislative, regulatory and scientific purposesUnderstand aseptic techniquesAny relevant experience with animal modelsThis would be the perfect opportunity for a Licensed Animal Technician looking for the next step in their career or a Researcher looking for their next opportunity.Don't miss out and apply today!
