As an In-Room Dining Waiter at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, you will be responsible for:
To ensure a full knowledge of the In-Room Dining menu and wine list in order to successfully respond to guest requests
To take orders in a friendly, courteous and efficient manner according to guest requirements and hotel standards
To up-sell services and products to our guests at all times, enhancing service and generating further revenue
To ensure that all special requests are communicated to the kitchen and to make checks of all trolleys against guest orders, ensuring accuracy
To ensure that the In-Room Dining department is kept clean and tidy at all times
To ensure that mise en place are completed shift to shift and during service in order to provide efficient service
To perform any tasks relating to billing according to hotel service standards and cashiering policies
To respond to all guest complaints immediately, whenever possible, ensuring attempts to amend situations and satisfy guests
As an In-Room Dining Coordinator , you will be working on a rotating shift basis, Monday to Sunday, 39 hours a week. Shift patterns for this role are mainly evening shifts from 14:30 to 23:00, including weekends and bank holidays.
To be a successful In-Room Dining Coordinator candidate, you will have strong communication and organisation skills, ability to work both independently and as a part of a team, as well as ability to work under pressure. Courteous telephone etiquette and attention to detail are also key skills for this role. Good Food & Beverage knowledge is required and prior experience within Food & Beverage is desirable.
