Newcastle upon Tyne, England I am currently working on a rare and exciting opportunity to join a major leisure business as In House Counsel, managing a varied caseload of litigation. This is a strategic growth role for the existing in house team and is based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. As a brand new opportunity, there is a lot of scope for the incoming post holder to make this role their own. You will manage a significant caseload of disputes which will be varied in nature including in relation to property, contractual breaches, debt recovery etc. You will have supervisory responsibility for a more junior team member who will manage a lot of the day to day litigation, leaving you to set processes and manage strategically, ensuring maximum return for the business.The role is likely to suit a litigation Solicitor with a background managing higher volumes of disputes - or overseeing a team handling these matters. This might have been in relation to personal injury, property, debt recovery or other areas but the business is very open minded - what's key is strong technical knowledge of civil procedure and management of a high number of claims. You will be fully supported by the Head of Legal, who this role reports to and who will be able to assist and up skill you in relation to unfamiliar areas. The business is very open in terms of PQE but you are likely to have a minimum of c. 4 years experience.This is a slightly unusual role so please do get in touch to find out more!
