A rapidly growing Construction and Real Estate development company is looking to build their in-house legal function
Ipswich Location.
You will be a vital part of a growing team, working on a wide range of construction and commercial matters.
Construction Law Responsibilities:
1. Legal Research: Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis related to construction law,
including regulations, case law, and industry standards.
2. Document Management: Organize, maintain, and manage construction-related legal documents,
contracts, permits, and case files. Draft, revise, and proofread construction documents.
3. Contract Review: Assist in the review and analysis of construction contracts, subcontractor
agreements, and other legal documents to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
4. Project Support: Serve as a liaison between the legal team and clients, contractors, and other
stakeholders in construction projects. Facilitate communication and coordination throughout the
project lifecycle.
Commercial/Real Estate Responsibilities:
1. Commercial Research: Conduct legal research on commercial law topics, including contract law,
corporate law, and business regulations.
2. Document Review: Assist in the review, drafting, and analysis of commercial contracts, agreements,
and corporate documents.
3. Client Interaction: Communicate with clients on commercial matters, addressing their legal needs
and providing updates on case progress.
4. Lease Amendments: Assist clients with lease amendments, lease renewals, and modifications to
existing lease agreements.
5. Dispute Resolution: Handle lease-related disputes, evictions, and other legal matters, including
litigation when necessary.
