Imports and Exports Manager London, UK Operations 3/5/2024

We need an experienced Imports and Exports Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our import and export operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, customs regulations, and international trade, along with excellent organisational and leadership skills.responsibilitiesImport and Export Operations Management:• Coordinate and manage the end-to-end import and export process, including documentation, customs clearance, transportation, and delivery.• Ensure compliance with all relevant import and export regulations, including customs laws, trade agreements, and sanctions.• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customs authorities, carriers, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders.Customs Compliance:• Stay up to date on changes in customs regulations and trade policies and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.• Prepare and submit customs documentation, including import/export declarations, permits, licenses, and certificates of origin.Team Leadership and Development:• Lead and motivate the Import and Export team, including the Import Supervisor, Export Supervisor and Operations Agents.• Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to ensure high performance and productivity.Client Relationship Management:• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding import and export shipments.• Address client inquiries, concerns, and requests in a professional and timely manner.• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.requirements• Minimum of 5 years of experience in import/export operations management, preferably in the freight forwarding or logistics industry.• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, international trade compliance, and logistics principles.• Professional and positive.• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.• Excellent customer service.• Proficiency in logistics software and systems.
