Job Description: Import Logistics Executive
Aligra, a leading recruitment agency, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Import Logistics Executive on behalf of our client. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing the import logistics process and ensuring the smooth flow of goods into the Tilbury port.
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Monday to Friday 0900-1700hrs
Role Requirements:
Proven successful track record of at least two years working for a small to medium-sized freight forwarder.
Experience of CNS and Destin8. Our forwarding software is Multi-freight.
Strong attention to detail.
Good communication skills and friendly personality.
Competent using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Strong and dynamic team player.
Excellent Maths and English skills.
Job Responsibilities and Tasks:
Communicating with various customers, suppliers, and sub-contractors such as shipping lines, hauliers, and depots to ensure smooth operations.
Raising internal files for various shipments and maintaining accurate records.
Raising invoices for services rendered and ensuring timely payment.
Reviewing and processing supplier invoices, addressing any discrepancies or queries.
Checking vessel arrivals and coordinating collection and delivery schedules.
Ensuring all customer deadlines are met and resolving any issues that may arise during the import process.
Following up with customers after delivery to ensure satisfaction and identify additional opportunities for service.
Staying updated with industry trends and regulations to effectively manage import logistics operations.
