Import Coordinator

Bennett and Game Recruitment are currently working with a well-established freight forwarding company who are actively seeking an experienced Import Coordinator to join their team in the Wednesbury area.

Our client offers a high-quality international freight forwarding service and specialises in road, air and sea shipments.

Import Coordinator Position Overview

• Coordinate multimodal import shipments, including sea, air, and land transportation methods.
• Prepare and process import documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations and customs requirements.
• Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and transportation providers.
• Communicate with customers and internal teams to provide updates on shipment status and address enquiries.
• Maintain accurate records of import transactions, shipping documents, and customer communications.
• Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to multimodal transportation and imports.

Import Coordinator Position Requirements

Import co-ordinator proficient in handling LCL & FCL sea shipments from start to finish. Experience of road freight and airfreight import shipments is desirable, but not mandatory.

The imports are mainly ocean (80%), the rest road and air. They do not complete import customs clearances in house, they instead use port/airport customs clearing agents.

• Previous experience working for a freight forwarding company - (Essential)
• Proven experience in coordinating multimodal import shipments, including sea, air, and land transportation methods.
• Experience in preparing import documentation and ensuring compliance with global shipping standards.
• Proficiency in using import-related software and tools for shipment tracking and documentation.
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams, customers, carriers and customs authorities.

Import Coordinator Position Remuneration

• Salary - �30k Circa DOE
• Monday - Friday - 37.5 Hours Per Week - Officed Based
• Company pension
