This City law firm are recognised expertise in employment law, private client advisory and deputyships, public law, criminal defence litigation, corporate and commercial, dispute resolution, family law, medical negligence and personal injury, regulatory and professional discipline, real estate, construction and immigration. Clients include regulatory bodies, local authorities and government bodies, as well as large public companies, owner-managed businesses and individuals, many of whom are in the public eye.
The firm's specialist immigration team rank tier 1 in the legal directories and are one of the largest Immigration teams in the UK with 33 fee earners. The team has advised businesses and individuals on all aspects of UK immigration and nationality law for over 20 years. Clients range from UK entrepreneurs to global corporations and sectors include tech; media, entertainment and sport; financial services; and the legal sector.
The team are seeking a Senior Associate with at least 5 years' experience to assist the Immigration team in the provision of advice to the firm's private and corporate clients. The immigration department is made up of three teams which consist of two corporate teams and one private client team.
As part of the role the role you will:

  • Manage own caseload of private clients
  • Actively manage and develop client relationships including day to day contact with key clients and preparing a variety of immigration applications for private individuals across all areas including business immigration, family immigration, human rights, the European Settlement Scheme and nationality applications.
  • Provide advice on complex UK immigration matters
  • Work with clients on Administrative reviews, appeals and judicial reviews against decisions of the UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI)
  • Keep immigration knowledge up to date and is familiar with all relevant legislation
  • Liaise closely with other fee earners in the team and with clients
  • Liaise directly with the UKVI
  • Research
  • Marketing activities (seminars, workshops, pitches etc.)
  • Understanding of financials on client accounts
  • Supervision of junior members of the team
  • Such other duties as may from time to time be required.
