Hydrogen Storage Business Lead

Our client global leading in the oil and gas industry are looking for a Business lead to join our team working on the development phase of the projects, for 24 months preparing the first financial decisions for construction.



Your responsibilities




  • Contribute to the development of the overall business case for new hydrogen storage projects in the UK, supporting project development, internal funding papers, government funding applications and consent applications.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external project stakeholders

  • Develop effective methods and tools to help steer the hydrogen storage development project portfolio, establishing effective governance and streamlined reporting

  • Execute commercial evaluations of specific projects, in cooperation with Commercial Project Managers and Business Controlling functions

  • Work with Project Managers and Commercial Project Managers on existing projects, taking responsibility for defined work packages

  • Support the evaluation of additional opportunities for geological storage, including Compressed Air Energy Storage

  • Identify and assess new projects for the storage business, and prepare proposals to include them in the project development pipeline

  • Participate in internal and external communications / events to promote the projects and gain relevant market insights

  • Procure and manage external engineering, project management and real estate support



Your profile



Essential




  • Professional experience in the technical and/or commercial development of complex, interdisciplinary, large-scale infrastructure projects in the UK.

  • An analytic, entrepreneurial way of thinking as well as working with a high level of quality awareness.

  • A high level of integrity; open to new ideas; keeping calm in all situations; always solution-oriented; always a team player.

  • Fluent in English language.

  • University degree in engineering, natural science, business, economic sciences or similar

  • Desire to work flexibly in a new and evolving team. A quick learner with the ability to understand new information, apply it successfully at a rapid pace and grow with a role.
