The governers at the school are looking for a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join their dynamic team.



The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons in History, Geography, and Religious Education to students aged 11-16.



You will play a key role in promoting a love for the humanities, developing critical thinking skills, and preparing students for their GCSE exams.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in History, Geography, and Religious Education.

  • Create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment that fosters a love for learning and academic excellence.

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.

  • Develop and implement schemes of work in line with the National Curriculum and school policies.

  • Engage with parents and carers to discuss student progress and address any concerns.

  • Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development opportunities.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students.



Qualifications and Experience:




  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.

  • A degree in History, Geography, Religious Education, or a related field.

  • Experience teaching humanities subjects at the secondary school level, including GCSE and A-level.

  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
