Overview
Everest People Solutions are recruiting for an HR Officer for a busy HR Department. The HR Officer will be working closely with the HR Manager and will offer comprehensive advisory and administrative assistance throughout the employee lifecycle. The HR Officer will be acting as the primary contact for HR inquiries and will ensure compliance with policies and procedures, promote fairness, and contribute to HR strategy implementation. The HR Officer will also serve as a substitute for the HR Manager during their absence.
Key Duties & Responsibilities for the HR Officer
Serve as the primary contact for all HR inquiries, providing advice consistent with company policies, procedures, and employment laws.
Handle all HR administrative tasks for weekly paid employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness throughout the entire employee lifecycle.
Support in case management, offering guidance to management and employees during investigations, grievances, and disciplinary processes while maintaining compliance.
Maintain and update employee records, files, and trackers, both electronically and in hard copy.
Manage the Occupational Health program, collaborating with the factory to ensure its effectiveness and addressing any concerns promptly.
Assist in implementing HR projects, procedures, and guidelines to align the workforce with HR and organisational strategic goals.
Attend weekly HR/Payroll meetings to ensure accurate processing of changes through payroll.
Monitor internal manning requirements and analyse daily Factory Manning reports.
Assist in managing live vacancies, including posting job adverts, monitoring social media, and scheduling interviews.
Coordinate with temporary staff requirement agencies and manage the pipeline of new starters.
Collaborate with the Training Officer to schedule new starter inductions as needed.
Oversee the Temp to Perm 12-week agency worker program, ensuring completion of necessary documentation.
Update HR communication notice boards with relevant information regularly.
Conduct Absence Management process follow-ups and ensure legal compliance, including Right to Work checks.
Provide HR KPIs related to cases, recruitment, performance, and reviews.
Foster a culture of teamwork and employee engagement, actively participating in engagement initiatives and maintaining the company values.
Maintain a visible presence within the factory, facilitating communication and engagement with shop floor employees.
Support HR engagement ideas and activities, promoting employee voice and participation.
Uphold the company values and behaviours through exemplary professional conduct.
Requirements for the HR Officer
Essential:
Prior experience in a similar role
CIPD Level 3 qualification
Proficiency in employment legislation and recruitment compliance
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
Strong communication skills
Positive and proactive attitude towards work and colleagues
Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
Trustworthy and reliable
Skill in building effective relationships across all organisational levels.
Flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
Desirable:
CIPD Level 5 qualification
Previous experience in an FMCG business
