We are looking for a People Assistant to join Facepunch Studios
You’ll be instrumental in aiding the People Team within all aspects of the HR Function, this includes being the first point for the administration of all HR operational services and on hand to support the wider team working both in the office and remotely.
What we’re looking for
Act as the first point of contact for all general HR related queries; providing HR advice and support on policies and practices.
Provide administrative support for the full employee life cycle, processes, leavers, contract changes and the monthly payroll.
Support our Talent Acquisition Specialist with any tasks as required.
Support in administering employee benefits programs, including health insurance, EAP, and other perks offered by the company.
Support managers with any training and development needs.
Assist in the performance appraisal process, including collecting feedback, tracking performance metrics, and supporting managers in performance-related discussions.
Assist in the offboarding process, conducting exit interviews and ensuring a smooth transition for departing employees.
Act as an advanced user of the HRIS system (HiBob), administering and managing stored employee data and personnel files.
Supporting the employee engagement surveys while collating data and overall employee engagement.
Work closely with the People Manager and support on ad-hoc projects, with the possibility to lead and manage your own projects in time.
Supporting the People Manager with employment relations, including disciplinary, grievance, performance management and absence management.
Stay informed about employment laws and regulations in the UK and ensure that the company's HR practices comply with these laws.
Working closely with the business team to provide an efficient service to all our team members.

What we'll need from you
Local to Birmingham so you can commute to our HQ at minimum 3 days a week
Experience as a People Assistant or similar role.
Knowledge of employment law and practical application
Have good general IT skills and the ability to work with spreadsheets, word packages, PowerPoint etc.
Have excellent written and oral communication skills; Able to maintain a professional stance and appreciate confidentiality.
Have a passion for people and proven experience to support this.
Confidence in building relationships with all levels of staff.
Eligibility to work in the UK.
Desirables
CIPD accreditation level 3
Experience of general finance and payroll
Previously experience within the Video Game Industry
