Newton uses an active, multidimensional and engaged approach in striving to deliver attractive outcomes to those clients.Newton focuses on four key areas:• Active Equities – Conviction-based, including global equity, small-cap, regional and thematic capabilities• Income – Equity, fixed income and multi-asset• Absolute Return – Fixed-income and multi-asset• Multi-Asset Solutions – Systematic, outcome-orientated, relative balanced, bespoke and building blocksJob PurposeAs People Advisor, and a member of the Newton People Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dynamic team of professionals in achieving their goals as the company and the wider Investment Management industry undergoes a period of material and exciting change.The Newton People Team is embedded within a global shared service human resources model. Key to this will be to navigate this model and collaborate with colleagues within it to deliver a cost effective, strategically aligned and good quality human resources offering to the fast paced,globally run and highly commercial stakeholder population. A key aspect of the role will be that of a trusted specialist and coach to senior leadership. Responsible for providing comprehensive and highly commercial human resources guidance and support across the entire employee lifecycle, in support of the delivery of Newtons strategy.It is an exciting time to join Newton’s People team, as the business and industry is currently in a period of evolution. This is an opportunity to help shape the business through it’s biggest asset, it’s people.Key Responsibilities• Act as a trusted specialist advisor and coach to people leaders on matters covering the full employee lifecycle, including:o Organizational designo Restructuring and TUPEo Performance managemento Compensation and Rewardo Succession planningo Talent Management and Career Developmento Global mobility • Take a leading role in the annual compensation review process• Identify and act on opportunities to upskill people leaders• Work in partnership with Finance, Compliance, and CAOs to support budget, headcount and risk management activities• Establish strong working relationships with and provide oversite of People Team Centers of Excellence to ensure an efficient and effective service is delivered to Newton, identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and expand the service• Contribute to the development and delivery of training and development programs• Lead on the production of Executive Committee and Board papersKey Skills / Experience• Experience of delivering successfully as an independent thinking people advisor within a financial services environment• Comprehensive practical experience of supporting UK individual redundancy processes• Demonstrable experience of actively and successfully supporting and coaching leaders at Vice President level or higher• A good working knowledge of UK employment law and practices• A good working knowledge of UK regulatory requirements, so far as they relate to employment and reward• Good experience of managing / coordinating projects• Able to demonstrate an ability to apply policy or process in a highly commercial way• Comfortable taking a data led approach• Tenacious and solution oriented• Collegiate and a natural team player• Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsQualifications:• CIPD qualified – preferred• A 2:1 undergraduate degree or higher (or equivalent)Our Values & BehaviorsPassion for Excellence – We get it done; We strive to be extraordinaryIntegrity – We do what is right, always; We challenge each other - even when it’s uncomfortableStrength in Diversity – We seek out who is missing and help everyone feel included We investin each other’s successCourage to Lead – We take the risks necessary to lead; We grow and move on from failureBNY Mellon Investment Management is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer Job Info Job Identification
