Due to the nature of the work you will be involved in, you will be required to obtain UK SC clearance in this role.What you will be involved in:Influence the development of technologies, engaging directly with the user from early concept through to delivery ensuring that the human-machine relationship is optimisedConduct Human Factors Integration through the development lifecycle providing progressive assurance to the customerDevelopment of User Interface prototypes and conduct of Human Centred DesignAnalysis and assessment of the role of the operator within the weapon system considering weapon system planning, command and controlDefinition of HF requirements and development and maintenance of lower-level detailed specificationsConduct User Experiments and Trials supporting system conception, development and verification taking into account operator workload and situational awarenessAnalysis of physical ergonomics, equipment and integration into workspaces Your skillset may include:Member of the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors (CIEHF)User Interface design & use of User Interface prototyping tools such as AxureImplementing Human-Centred Design processesApplication of Human Factors Integration & Human Factors Engineering in a Defence contextKnowledge of defence standards (00-251)Conduct core HF activities including task analysis, requirements development, user trials and Experimentation.Application of physical ergonomics and use of CAD software such as Jack or RAMSISGood understanding of Systems Engineering and disciplines that interact with Human Factors (Supportability, Training, Systems) including definition and verification of HF requirements.MS Office, DOORSAbility to generate technical reports If this all sounds like something you will be interested in then simply apply and we can discuss the opportunity further!Human Factors Engineer12 Month ContractBased in StevenageOffering £90ph Inside IR35Disclaimer:This vacancy is being advertised by either Advanced Resource Managers Limited, Advanced Resource Managers IT Limited or Advanced Resource Managers Engineering Limited ("ARM").
