HSEQ Manager/Quality Assurance Manager.



English Architectural Glazing Limited are leading façade specialists in the UK market, we are recruiting for a HSEQ Manager/Quality Assurance Manager to take responsibility of maintaining the processes and procedures to ensure the company remains compliant with our ISO Systems – ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO45001. To assist with planning, implementing, monitoring and reviewing protective and preventative measures that are required to minimise operational losses, accidents & injuries. This position is predominantly office based. 



Based Mildenhall or Attleborough



37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday (Possibly reduced hours for ideal candidate).

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Maintain all necessary processes & procedures to ensure the company remains compliant with our ISO systems. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.

  • Manage the internal audit program and carry out internal audits as necessary.

  • Take & maintain ownership of the company environment systems including acting as sustainability representative for the business.

  • Assist the Head of Health & Safety with the development of internal health safety and environmental policies/strategies.

  • Assist the Head of Health and Safety with managing a comprehensive H&S advisory service.

  • Assist the Head of Health and Safety with the management of the site safety committee and ensure that a safe working environment is in place throughout the Company.

  • Keep up to date with health & safety law & legislation.

  • Have the ability to communicate with the HSE and other local authorization in a professional responsible manner.

  • Assist with producing workshop inspection reports, Management reports, newsletters & bulletins.

  • Making presentations, toolbox talks & training to groups of employees/managers

  • Develop and implement documented procedures safe systems of work and risk assessments for all parts of the business as required.

  • To be available & approachable to all employees at all times and deal with any queries in a confidential manner, this will involve being both patient & assertive.

  • 2 Weekly reviews with the Head of health & safety to update and identify issues of safety.

  • Fire drills and that emergency evacuation procedures are in place and understood. 

  • Act as point of contact for pre-qualification memberships such as CHAS, Achilles and Constructionline and keep profiles up to date with the correct information. – is this both?

  • Carry out any other duties within the scope of the position as may be required by the Head of Health and Safety in the interest of the company.



PERSON SPECIFICATION



Qualifications/Education level




  • Internal auditing

  • NGC1 Management of Health & Safety

  • CDM Regulations Training



Experience




  • ISO Procedures

  • Manufacturing/construction or similar background

  • Health & Safety background preferrable but not

  • Quality control

  • A good understanding of environmental requirements and an understanding of Sustainability

  • Report writing

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, advanced level of excel Specific Skills

  • ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 Systems

  • Good knowledge of PQQ

  • Good working knowledge of relevant legislation

  • Effective time management and able to prioritise
