Role: HSEQ Assistant

Location: Halifax or Winsford

Working for the UK's largest garage equipment and service company, you will be part of a team providing excellent HSEQ advice and support throughout the business, leading a positive HSEQ culture along with driving clear communication and continual improvements thorough the business.

Role and Responsibilities:

This position is ideal for an entry level or early years development into the HSEQ field.

The role and responsibilities will be in line with full training, support and development.

As part of your role, you will help to drive the positive HSEQ Culture throughout the company and be a team player in all aspects of HSEQ.

Present health safety, environmental and quality agendas
Deliver HSEQ statistics and findings showing trends to the HSEQ Manager
Support all departments on all matters of HSEQ, occupational health and welfare matters
Perform internal audits
Be involved in ISO9001 - quality, ISO45001 health and safety and ISO14001 environmental
Supporting contractor and supplier approval through safe contractor
Maintain supplier approval portals for external accreditations
To support in the development of the companies' policies and procedures ensuring annual recertifications are achieved
Assisting in the preparation of risk assessments and method statements in conjunction with management and reviewing sub-contractors risk assessments
Administration tasks that support with KPI reporting and data collection
Internal and external communication via email and phone calls
Maintain HSEQ documents and register in line with HSEQ procedure
Maintain records and registers for building and equipment inspections
Other ad-hoc tasks necessary to support the businessSkill, Qualifications & Requirements:

H&S qualification desirable (training can be given)
Previous audit experience desirable (training can be given)
ISO knowledge (training can be given)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organisational skills
Working to deadlines and agreed reporting frequencies
Excellent levels of communication at all levels
Positive "can do" attitude towards customer problem solving
Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team
IT literacy
