Our client is a Manufacturer in the heart of Rochdale that truly invest in the continuous development & training of their staff, backed by the support of a large global group and healthy loyal customer base with a busy order book. They are looking to welcome a HSE Manager to the team!
Who this job would suit:

This role is ideal for a NEBOSH or IOSH qualified HSE professional with experience in large scale manufacturing/engineering. The candidate should possess strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to health, safety, and environmental management, working to ISO 14001 & 45001.
Key Responsibilities:




  • Coordination of health, safety, welfare, and environmental activities across departments

  • Development, maintenance, and improvements of the IMS/QMS, in adherence to ISO standards.

  • Engagement in internal, external, and Third-Party audits, followed by corrective actions.

  • Direction and assistance in implementing and maintaining HSE management systems.

  • Immediate notification of situations compromising IMS effectiveness to Senior Management

  • Adherence to and promotion of HSE policies, procedures, and practices on-site



Requirements:




  • HSE experience within Manufacturing (large scale machinery or heavy manufacturing preferred).

  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualified.

  • Confident & Assertive approach to promoting HSE.

  • Strong knowledge of ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.



Location - Rochdale

Salary - Competitive (dependent on experience) + Bonus.

Benefits - 25 days hols plus Bank Hols, pension 4.5% matched, with free life assurance up to 3 times salary, Occupational Health and Optician service, free onsite parking.

Permanent - Full Time - 37.5 per week. Mon-Thurs, 08:15 to 16:30, Fri 08:15 to 15:15
