If so, then please read on.

The basics:

Title: HSE Manager

Location: Clay Cross

Environment: Manufacturing

Head count: Plant 1 = 97 and plant 2 = 44

Salary: up to £49000

Hours: Monday to Friday days – typically 9am-5pm with a 1hr lunch. 35hrs. However flexible to suit.

Holidays and benefits: 24 days plus 8 bank holidays, rises to 26 plus bank holidays after 2 year service, Pension up to 7%, Xmas and Bank Holidays shut down.

Overview

Working for a well-established manufacturing business, the HSE Manager will cover two local sites. One being modern purpose built and a clean production environment with the other being medium to heavy engineering production.

This role would suit someone who enjoys coaching and being out on the production floor, coaching and engaging with staff to ensure a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities of the HSE Manager role:

- Adhere to, and promote, all required health and safety and welfare policies that are established by the company.

- Evaluate and ensure the legal compliance of the plant in HSE topics

- To review and update HSE policies and conduct / update risk assessments as and when required.

- Deploy the corporate initiatives in HSE into the plant

- Support in maintaining the companies ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

- Support in third party and internal group site audits and inspections.

- Provide support and advice to team members on EHS and management system issues.

- Conduct internal audits and inspections of manufacturing and contractor processes and business departments and resolution tracking.

- Involvement in continual improvement initiatives on manufacturing and business processes, in EHS management with the aim of improved EHS performance.

- Develop and maintain procedures for EHS management and supporting the planning and implementation process.

- Administration of computer and database systems, including maintenance of records and preparation of documents for issue.

- Support and participate in EHS activities, including risk identification and management.

- Plan, prepare and carry out in-house training when requested.

- Report key information as specified by line management.

- Maintain EHS notice boards and communications.

The ideal candidate / HSE Manager may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

- Previous experience working in a manufacturing/production environment.

- NEBOSH General Cert

- Environmental qualification

- Experience in managing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is desirable
