  • Location: South Wales

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

We have an exciting opportunity for a Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Coordinator to�join a well- established business located in South Wales. This role is perfect for a proactive individual looking to make a positive impact on health and safety culture and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and site policies.





Responsibilities:




  • Assist with Health & Safety audits and inspections.

  • Monitor and review protective and preventative measures, supporting their implementation.

  • Conduct Risk Assessments and develop Safe Working Practices (SWPs) with the HSE Manager.

  • Support operations in reviewing and rolling out SWPs.

  • Work proactively to reduce accidents and near misses by writing and rolling out team briefs and Task Observation Behavioural Evaluation Reports.

  • Liaise with departmental managers to review H&S reports and raise risk awareness.

  • Assist with H&S investigations and information collation.

  • Organize site training on topics like accident investigation and manual handling.

  • Contribute to the development of the H&S Management System and assist with continuous improvement tools.

  • Complete COSHH assessments.

  • Support environmental management activities, including waste streams, energy KPIs, and audit preparation.

  • Maintain and improve the Environmental Management System to ISO 14001 standard.

  • Maintain and improve the Energy Management System to ISO 50001 standard.

  • Conduct audits to ensure IPPC permit adherence.



Qualifications:




  • NEBOSH National Certificate in Health and Safety or equivalent (essential).

  • Strong working knowledge of email, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Excellent report writing skills.

  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, and effective communication skills.

  • A reliable team player with a proactive nature.

  • Ability to use initiative and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of continuous improvement processes.

  • Desirable: Environmental/Quality qualification and/or professional Membership of IOSH/IEMA/CQI.
