The QHSE Associate is responsible for reviewing and verifying the Safety and Health Policies, Procedures, Plans and training requirements on behalf of AVETTA Operators and Contractor Members. They help maintain the ISO9001 Quality Management System, Avetta’s SSIP Membership and ISO17020 UKAS Accreditation. The QHSE Associate will deputise for UKAS Accreditation Quality Manager (held by Manager, EMEA QHSE).This role offers a hybrid schedule in our Maidenhead office (3 days in office, 2 days work from home).Please note: This role requires full working rights in England, without current or future sponsorship.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Conduct Manual Audits to assess a Contractor’s Safety and Health Policies, Procedures, Plans and Training documentation required based on exposure hazards associated with services performed. The Audits are intended to ensure compliance with applicable legislation as well as any Client specific requirements. In addition, the HSE

will be responsible for the following:Assist customers with closing gaps or deficiencies as a result of the auditPerform customer verifications and Audit closure assistanceRespond promptly to customer inquiriesRecord details of inquiries, comments and complaints within the Contractor Account NotesForward customer complaints or concerns to the Audit Manager or other Designated Safety Professional in a timely mannerMaintain ISO9001 Quality Management SystemMaintain SSIP MembershipAct as Deputy Accreditation Quality Manager (ISO17020 UKAS Accreditation)NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Performs other duties as assigned;2. May be required to attend training, meetings, or seminars.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Ability to interpret and make decisions based on regulatory industry best practices (HSE Legislation), and/or Operator requirementsAn affinity for learning online software systemsWorking PC knowledge, windows preferred and related applicationsAbility to multitask and manage prioritiesAdaptable to workload fluctuations and intensive deadlinesGood written and oral communication skillsBi-lingual proficiency is a plusProblem analysis and problem-solvingAbility to read and interpret statistical data, information and documentsAttention to detail and accuracySelf-Motivated and driven to succeedAbility to communicate and understand in a one-on-one or group situationAbility to interact with staff members and others encountered in the course of workAbility to learn and apply new information or skills.EDUCATION, TRAINING, and EXPERIENCE:Health & Safety professional with at least 5 years experience working within an health and safety environment3+ years experience in contractor pre-qualificationAuditing experience is a plusSSIP knowledge (UK based auditors) is a plus (SSIP Auditor will be provided for UK based auditors) Environmental/sustainability
experience is a plusSafety and Health program development or editing is a plusManagement Systems (ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO45001) experience is a plusKnowledge of ISO17020 is a plusWorking knowledge of the relevant industries we serve (see Industries Page at
