Job Description:
The Head of Strategic Procurement Services will be accountable for Procurement Services for the UK which includes Strategic and Operational Sourcing, Procurement Operations (including Accounts Payable), Third Party Management and the Vendor Management Office. The role holder will lead Procurement Services teams, both HSBC and Third Party Service Provider/s (BPO) based in UK and India.

Job Responsibilities:
Third Party Management & Vendor Management Office – Accountable for supervising HSBC UK and HSBC Service Company compliance to Group Third Party Management Framework.
Working closely with each Global Business and Function COO to ensure management of both internal and external supplier relationships are maintained and leverage value in their operational accountability for third party relationships.
Procurement Operations (including Accounts Payable) – Accountable for being responsible for the Procurement Operations team (based both in the UK and India) to ensure effective and timely delivery of Procure to Pay processes to all UK entities; including purchase order, invoice, expense, helpdesk and e-buying channels.
Change Leader – In addition to running the bank activities the role will require leadership over a number of change initiatives relating directly to Strategic Procurement Services or the wider Bank’s compliance to Third Party Management.
Strategic Sourcing Services – Working with HSBC Business / Function and Entity senior partners (COOs) to develop a Sourcing Strategy that delivers opportunities and projects that enable HSBC to achieve its Strategic plan.
Job Requirements:
An SME in at least one of the following areas – Strategic Sourcing Services; Procurement Operations; Third Party Management & Vendor Management Office; Change Leadership;
Substantial procurement experience (within financial services preferred) and/or strong commercial awareness;
Proven strong people leadership skills;
Able to build effective networks both internally and externally, with excellent partner management skills, particularly those at a senior level;
Excellent written and spoken communication skills with experience of optimally influencing others, negotiating optimally and winning over audiences with compelling and persuasive presentations;
A track record of making strategic business decisions motivating change;
Digital change experience would be highly desirable.
