It operates commuter/regional rail passenger services from its Central London terminus at London Marylebone along two main routes to destinations in Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, and the West Midlands.
Job Purpose
Manage HR systems and reporting for the HR function
lead and support on HR projects as required
To be the HR system superuser for the HR function – training and supporting managers and HR colleagues
Ensuring accuracy of data before it enters payroll
Role model Chiltern Railways’ values and leadership behaviours
Key Accountabilities
Support the implementation and maintenance of HR systems, integrations and tools as required
Act as a systems expert, providing specialist technical support and guidance to the HR team / line managers on systems and reporting related queries
Support the HR function with data input as required
Responsible for reporting within the HR function. Analysing, interpreting data and preparing graphs that are simple to use and are engaging
Manage data requests from key stakeholders and external requests including statutory reporting requests
Work with the Centre of Excellence (CoE) or other Subject Matter Experts and advise how Chiltern can utilize HR systems more effectively
Manage and resolve any errors that may occur with the HR systems
Implement processes to maintain data integrity and data accuracy in the HR systems
Ensure data is managed and processed in line with GDPR requirements
Personal Specification
iTrent and Business Objects experience is essential
Previous experience of using Workday would be an advantage
Previous reporting experience is essential
Previous experience of acting as a super-user is desirable
Able to provide troubleshooting support and develop others to use systems
Experience of data management – extracting data, analyzing and presenting data
Experience of audits and devising improvement plans is desirable
Expert in Excel including pivot tables and v-look ups is essential
Innovative and creative thinker who is able to research and recommend improvements and present data in engaging ways
Proactive and a self-starter
High attention to detail • Flexible approach – willing to take on tasks and activities to support heavy peaks in workloads across the HR function
Able to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines
Ability to design training materials and to train colleagues in associated systems usage
