About the role
As a senior member of our generalist HR & OD team, you will play a critical role in aligning HR strategies with Council objectives and providing comprehensive HR partnering support to our managers. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of the Council and make a meaningful and positive impact on the working lives of our employees.
This is a full-time position, but we also welcome applications from those wishing to work part-time or job share.

What we are looking for:
A relevant CIPD qualification, e.g., Postgraduate Diploma in Personnel and Development; or CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma or CIPD assessment of professional competence at this level.
Experience at a senior advisory level, providing professional advice and coaching on employment legislation, employee relations issues and a range of people practices (including recruitment, performance management and development, sickness absence).
Experience of partnering with managers, providing coaching support and challenge as required.
Change management experience covering design, consultation and implementation, and ability to coach, engage and support multiple stakeholders.
Strong communication and inter-personal skills, able to create rapport and present information in a concise and logical manner suitable for the audience.
