You will serve as a trusted advisor and partner to business leaders, providing expert HR guidance and support. Your responsibilities include talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, change management, performance monitoring, bonus management, annual increases, revised contracts, KPI achievement, counselling, probation management, and HR automation implementation. Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:Strategic HR Leadership:Develop, implement, and oversee the organisations HR strategy in alignment with overall business objectivesCollaborate with executive leadership to ensure HR initiatives support the company’s long-term goals and visionDepartment Management:Lead and manage the entire HR department, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to HR staff membersFoster a collaborative and high performance culture within the HR teamHR Strategy Development:Work closely with Senior Leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that enhance organisational effectiveness and employee engagementDrive initiatives related to talent management, workforce planning, and succession planningPolicy Development and Implementation:Develop and update HR policies and procedures in line with legal requirements and industry best practicesEnsure effective communication and training on new policies and procedures to all employeesIndustrial Relations Management:Oversee employee relations activities, including conflict resolution, investigations, and the implementation of policies to maintain a positive and inclusive workplace cultureProvide guidance on complex employee relations issuesEmployee Engagement:Design, implement, and manage employee engagement programs to foster a positive workplace cultureConduct regular feedback sessions and surveys to assess employee satisfaction and implement improvement initiativesOrganise and coordinate team-building activities, events, and initiatives to enhance employee moral and team cohesionEmployee Queries and Concerns:Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding HR-related queries and concernsProvide guidance and support to employees on HR policies, procedures, and if applicable benefitsInvestigate and address employee grievances in a fair and timely mannerPerformance Management:Collaborate with department heads to implement performance management systems, including goal-setting, performance reviews, and development plansProvide guidance and support to managers in addressing performance issues and implementing improvement plansAdminister bonus programs and manage annual increases and revised contractsTraining and Development:Identify training needs and coordinate the development and delivery of training programs for employees and managersSupport the professional development and growth of employees through mentoring and coaching initiativesLeadership Development:Implement leadership development programs to cultivate a strong leadership pipelineProvide coaching and support to senior leaders to enhance their management and leadership capabilitiesTalent Acquisition and Retention:Collaborate with the recruitment team to attract, hire, and retain top talentImplement strategies to enhance employee retention and minimize turnoverHR Reporting:Prepare regular reports on HR metrics, including turnover rates, engagement levels, and other key performance indicatorsUtilize data and analytics to make informed recommendations for continuous improvementMinimum requirements:Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related fieldExtensive experience in HR management, including leadership rolesPreferable experience in a Mining, Manufacturing, Construction or Engineering environmentStrong strategic thinking and business acumenExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated ability to influence and collaborative with Senior LeadershipExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with stakeholders at all levelsAbility to think strategically and provide actionable insights and recommendationsStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills
